This is a proactive tool that enables your to set business goals, develop strategies, and proactively create and change operational business rules that you can apply across the enterprise, allowing you to keep in step with changing business dynamics.

One can define strategies and set goals and targets for the same. A strategy can comprise multiple business rules. A business rule can also have its own sub-targets to be achieved. An example of a business rule on the demand side can be a cross-sell/up sell scheme to be rolled out to all sales channels. On the supply side, an example can be to roll out a business rule to increase re-order points for SKUs achieving a sell-through of more than 50% on a week-on-week basis. Business rules can be defined using the merchandise/location/time hierarchy. So, a business rule can be category specific, product group specific, store category specific, or an end-of-season rule.
